19 Apr ‘Physical Preparation & Fitness’ Seminar – Feedback
The Modern Game would like to say a big thanks to Sean Murphy for facilitating our seminar on “Physical Preparation & Fitness” on Wednesday 18th April.
The seminar was well supported by East Ringwood, Upper Ferntree Gully, Knox Falcons and Ferntree Gully Eagles Junior Football Clubs with 54 people in attendance and, as part of the questions on our seminar feedback form, we asked the participants what they liked most about the workshop and below is a few comments that we received:
“Found all facets of the workshop interesting. Not a coach but will find some of this quite helpful in my own training and supporting my children and their sports.”
“Theory and interaction was good. It encouraged all to experience the activities to better instruct kids.”
“Learned about stretching and drills and the correct ways to do them”
“The different options to train children in warming up and stretching (correctly)”
“On ground demonstrations”
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the junior clubs mentioned above for supporting this seminar. The Modern Game’s philosophy is: junior football (sport) is not all about scoreboard results; it is about “developing and improving” the children with their sports skills and their general life skills and all the clubs supporting this seminar appear to have a very similar philosophy.
We look forward to offering more seminars over the coming months….keep an eye out for more details.
