Written by crackers

As one of AFL Victoria many initiatives, the “Eastern Region” hold a ‘Coach of the Year Awards Night’ each year and clubs and coaches have the opportunity to nominate a coach or fellow coach they feel would be deserving of the award. The Modern Game are not sure if everyone is aware of the awards night and therefore, we wanted to share the information and attach the necessary documentation (see links below) in the event you may wish to be nominate someone or attend.

Nomination Form Coach of the Year Awards

The award ceremony will be held at the Lilydale International and last year saw over 200 guests in attendance in what was a great night for all involved.

All nominated coaches receive a free ticket for them and their partner to attend. This year they have special guest speakers Alan Richardson and Heath Hocking from the Essendon FC who’ll give everyone an insight into life at Windy Hill both from a coaching and playing background. Please see the invitation attached for anyone in the footy world wishing to come along.

Last year saw over 30 coaches nominated across the respective categories Auskick, Junior, Youth, Female and Senior.

The nomination form can be completed by anyone, it just needs your clubs endorsement.

If you have any queries in relation to the awards or nomination process, please contact Shawn Wilkey at AFL Victoria on 0418.543.698
