To deliver on our business philosophy, The Modern Game is built around 3 business pillars that enable us to educate and develop grass roots football and sporting clubs across all levels of the club environment. Each business pillar has a different focus and whilst developed around football, the framework of each pillar is transferable across a variety of sports.
Outlined below is the name and a high level description of each pillar:
COACHING DEVELOPMENT
This is the “Junior” football/sport pillar of our business.
Essentially, this is a coach the coaches program that provides all junior clubs with an external resources to support their coaches; whether they are new or experienced in the role. From the coaching interview process, to age specific coaching folders full of resource material, to pre-season development workshops, to in-season training and game observations, this program has it all for the junior coach. The philosophy around this program is not only to support the current coaches at your club but to provide a robust framework that encourages others to take on the role knowing the support is available.
GAME ANALYSIS
The original ‘Plan to Win’ concept – this is the “Senior” football/sport pillar of our business.
This pillar provides senior football clubs with the opportunity to seek independent, un-biased feedback on your opposition and your own team which may just be the difference between being a competitor and being a spectator come September. While the majority of senior coaching teams have a mountain of experience, they are time poor and don’t have the chance to gain the ever needed competitive advantage. The Modern Game can provide quality feedback on your opposition or alternatively, we can dissect and provide feedback zone by zone on your own team.
CLUB CULTURE
This is our “club” pillar and something The Modern Game can support all clubs with; regardless of size, level, junior or senior.
Often the most challenging aspect of any club environment, ‘club culture’ can be hard to define but it is important that all clubs understand what it is and what it isn’t, how it affects your brand and reputation and how you go about improving or enhancing your club culture. The Modern Game can assist clubs across many areas of this topic; including Auskick alignment, parent participation, Junior/Senior club connection, managing expectation, coaching for resilience, generation change, club of choice, and loads more.
